15TH MARCH 2016

On this the 100th anniversary of the 1916 rising when Padraig Pearse read out the proclamation declaring Ireland’s freedom, we stand here today reading the proclamation we have written for our school.

Kildalkey  boys and Kildalkey girls, this is a proclamation for our school declaring the right of all the children of the parish to a top class, inclusive education by highly trained teachers.

Each and every child will be included in all activities because Respect is our school’s number one priority. We will listen to every child’s opinion and include all children in all school activities.

All children will be treated fairly and enjoy everything. No one will be left out. Our teachers will set goals for us and encourage us to achieve them. In St. Dympna’s all children will be respectful to others. Each child will get opportunities to use their talents and develop them. In our school we guarantee that children will feel happy and safe in our school environment . We will encourage friendship that will last a lifetime.

Kildalkey National School has a truly dedicated staff that put a huge amount of time and work into subjects from English, Gaeilge and Maths to Art, Drama and Religion. Sport plays a huge part in our school and all children are encouraged positively to participate in PE and Hurling, Gaelic football  to name but a few.

We put our faith in the most high God to always look down and take care of our children in Kildalkey and children all over Ireland and the wider world. May God always keep them safe and we pray for every blessing on all who work in this, our great school.

Having taught and shaped the children for a better future, we believe they will succeed. In our school we will endeavour to provide the best education for all children. Kildalkey is a welcoming school and Please God we will be welcoming children for generations to come. The school is dedicated to the well being of all children .
