Seachtain na Gaeilge 2024

We had a great time celebrating the Irish language and culture during Seachtain na Gaeilge this week in First Class A. We completed some of our other subject lessons through Irish and enjoyed a Bohdrán lesson learning the Irish Polka. We finished off the week with an assembly in the hall. Videos of our assembly performance, bodhrán lesson and highlights of our Céilí have been uploaded to Seesaw. 

We also completed a lovely print art lesson.

Seachtain na Gaeilge & Lá Glas

Bhí seachtain ghnóthach i Rang a haon! We have been to a céilí, got some great bodhrán lessons, learnt all about St. Patrick, made some great shamrock art work, dressed up in green and had great craic agus ceol all week! Lá Fhéile Phádraig! 

Hurling

First Class have been busy practicing their hurling skills this morning with our GAA coach, some budding stars in our midst! 

St. Valentine's Day 2024 First Class A

Weaving Hearts - First Class A

To celebrate St. Valentine's Day the children in First Class A were working on the fabric and fibre creating a hanging heart decoration using a weaving method. The chidlren really got the hang of it and are looking forward to working with a needle and thread after the Eatser holidays.
