Dear Children and Parents,

I hope you enjoyed the long weekend. Now that it is confirmed that schools won’t reopen until September, it is important to try keep school work going in preparation for 1st class. Seesaw has proved very successful and allows lots more scope for active learning. If you haven’t contacted me for login details please do so, as it allows me interact with the children and give feedback also.

The children may feel disappointed that they won’t be returning to school, term 3 tends to bring great excitement with sport’s day and school tours. We will continue to work together to help your child through these uncertain times and prepare them for the school year ahead.

Any questions/concerns please contact me on This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

This week our integrated learning theme is Water

Here is a choice of activities you can do at home!

Write 3-5 sentences about what water is used for (drinking, watering plants etc), read your sentences aloud to someone.

Listen to the story “Elmer and the Rainbow”, draw a picture of your favourite part and write a sentence underneath.

Make a boat float challenge?

Can you build a boat using recyclable materials from around the house?

Under the Sea Art.

What does it look like under the sea?

Can you paint your own under the sea picture? There could be turtles, dolphins, sharks and lots more!

Is it waterproof or not?

Fill a basin with water and test things to see if they are waterproof!

Use playdough to make things that can be found under the sea. A shark, a fish, a sea horse, see weed, a ship wreck, a scuba diver, a treasure chest etc.
