Senior Infants

Welcome Back-September.

This month, we settled back to work after a long holiday. We had lots of discussions about our community and the people who we thought were a part of it.

We drew some pictures of the school and the church and all the people who are important to us.S.E.S.E

June- School Tour

Senior Infants went on their tour recently to Causey Farm. They had a fun packed day from start to finish. The tractor and trailer ride to the obstacle course in the bog was a big hit, as was the hay maze later in the day! The children enjoyed all of the days activities which included feeding the animals, blowing giant bubbles, ringing the wishing bell and milking the 'cow'. We met a very friendly pig who got in for a photograph with us.

Sport's Day

Last Friday was a Sport's Day and we were so lucky with the weather. We had a jam packed day which included musical chairs, races, an obstactle course, bouncing castle, face painting, a visit from the ice-cream man and a teddy bears picnic.

Hurling Skills

Last week, after a long morning of MIST tests,  we got to try out some hurling and we loved it. The future of Kildalkey hurling is very bright. Have a look at us doing some of our drills.

Our Very Hungry Caterpillars

This week we were reading "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" by  Eric Carle.

We loved the story so much that we created our very own caterpillars from egg cartons.
