Introducing......The Quest

Enrich Tour

The fourth, fifth and sixth classes recently had the luck to be invited out to see the Enrich plant in Kilcock!

Wjem there, they met with Dale who showed them the different bugs and insects in that area.

Next, he showed them how they shape and dry the timber and then how the compost is made fertile.

Lastly, Natasha took the classes on a tour of the local woods, explaining about diversity and playing a few well chosen games!

Thanks again to Dale, Natasha and Enrich for organising and running the event!

Sports Day 2018

Sports Day was held this year on the 31st of May.

The school was blessed with warm weather for the day and each class enjoyed several sporting activities, such as races, bouncing castles, obstacles courses, parachutes, long jumps, among many other activities!

Ice-cream and face painting was provided by the Parents' Association and volunteers - many thanks!

Everyone had a great, if exhausting, day - well done to all!

Mondrian Art

The sixth class have been looking at Piet Mondrian, the Dutch painter recently.

They looked at his history, his works of Art and then attempted to recreate his work.

Look at what they produced! Aren't they great!

Tour 2018

The sixth class recently enjoyed their tour into Dublin.

Beginning with the Natural History Museum, they learned lots about the different animals that roamed Ireland once upon a time and got the opportunity to see different animals up close.

They then travelled to Glasnevin where they visited the different graves of various Irish historical figures, such as Michael Collins, Daniel O'Connell, Charles Stewart Parnell etc. They learned of history along the way, thanks in no small part to the superb tour guide, Niall.

After, they travelled to Blanchardstown to partake in a spot of bowling. The games were competitive with some very high scores throughout, including a top score of 162.

Well done to the class on their behaviour throughout the day, which was exemplary.
