Mini 7s Camogie

Well done to Mini 7s camogie team who took competed in the Mini 7s camogie competition in Dunganny on Monday, 27th November.

Captained by Emma, they first took on an exceptional Baconstown team. Baconstown proved too strong for Kildalkey, though Kildalkey can take pride in the way they battled throughout.

Next up was Longwood. With the scores level at 0-0 at half time, Kildalkey were to the fore in the second half. Goals from Leah, Anna and Sarah earned them a three goal win.

The last match was against Ballivor. With a wind behind them in the first half, Kildalkey hit the front with scores from Leah putting them into a 2-2 to no score lead. Ballivor battled back in the second half but great defending from Lucy, Grace and Abbie coupled with great goalkeeping from Orla kept Ballivor at bay. A last surge from Ballivor saw them score 2-1 without reply but Kildalkey held out for the win.
