Girls Mini 7s Football 2019

Well done to the girls' football Mini 7s team.
Played in blustery conditions in Dunganny, the girls had four tough matches.
After defeating Mulhussey in the first round, Kilcloon proved too strong in the second round. They then drew with Ballivor and then finished on a high with a great victory over Longwood.
Well done to the girls, and to their captains, Ava and Ava-Marie.
3rd Class Dancing Achievements
Well done to our 3 Irish dancers who won several medals at their recent Feis!
We are very proud of their great work - dancing is a great skill to have and the girls are doing themselves and their school proud.
Keep up the great work!

Boys' Final Despair
Hard luck to the boys who lost their Division Two football final against Wilkinstown N.S. on Saturday, November 25th.
In what a tough and enthralling encounter, Kildalkey got off the mark wiith a fine score from Caemerhon. Tight defending from Wilkinstown limited them to one more score from Cian before half time, leaving the half time score 0-4 to 0-2.
The second half saw Kildalkey launch wave after wave of attack but Wilkinstown held firm. Fine scores from Aaron, Caemerhon and Jamie saw Kildalkey down by two at the death and when the final whistle blew, it was in Wilkinstown's goal mouth, trying desperately to get the winning score.

However, it wasn't to be. The boys can feel very proud of their performance, which saw them defend superbly for long periods and a little more luck could well have seen them sneak a win at the death. Particularly unfortunate was the injury to Jamie before the match.
The boys can hold their heads high though after what was a terrific campaign.
