First Communion Celebration 2018
Well done to the two second classes, who made their Holy Communion last Saturday, 12th May. The weather was fabulous, the sun making a rare and welcome appearance!
The ceremony was beautiful, with the choir singing beautifully, lead by Mrs. Grace Brady.
The two classes were immaculately prepared by Mrs. Treadwell and Miss Lynch - well done to both teachers.
Afterwards, parents, students and friends were treated to a reception put on by the Parents' Association. Thanks again to the Parents' Association for their hard work and also to anyone who contributed to the day.

Boys Defeated by Kells
Hard luck to the boys' football team who lost narrowly to a fine Kells team.
A great start to the game from Kildalkey saw them score a fine goal from Aaron and a great point from Ben, which saw the two teams level at the break 1-1 to 0-4.
However, Kells upped the ante after the break with some fine scores. Despite a superbly worked goal from Caemerhon, Kells finished the stronger, emerging victors on a scoreline of 2-11 to 2-4.

The boys' quarter final is against St. Mary's Ashbourne next Tuesday in Ashbourne.

Spinning Success
Last Thursday, 3rd of May, saw the entire school take part in a Spinathon in order to raise funds for the sensory room in the new school building.

All classes took part, with the aim to see which class could do the most spinning!

Some of the sixth class danced with the younger classes while they were waiting - many thanks to them!

Thanks again to Miss O'Sullivan, Angie and the parents for organising such a successful event!
