Sam Spirit of the Final

Well done to Sam, who was named the winner of the Meath Chronicle/Generali Pan Europe 'Spirit of the Final' award.

Sam scored three points on Monday but caught the eye with his terrific work ethic, his driving runs and his general eye for a pass or a score. Indeed, the Meath Chronicle described his performance as 'outstanding'.

Sam will receive his award on Friday in an award ceremony in the Ardboyne hotel.

Replay Details

The boys' final replay will be held on June 19th in Dunshaughlin GAA pitch at 4.00.

We'd love to see a big support present again to cheer on the boys! 

There will be no charge on the day as it is a replay

Drawn Final

Well done to our terrific football team who drew their final today.

In what was an enthralling game, Kildalkey recovered from the concession of an early goal to lead at half time, courtesy of terrific goals from Ben and Jamie and some terrific scores from Charlie, Sam and this point from Jamie (courtesy of the Meath Chronicle).

With the aid of a stiffening breeze, Lismullen clawed their way back into the game and lead with about ten minutes left. However, Kildalkey fought back and with some inspirational scores from Sam and Charlie, and a goal from Brandon lead with a minute left. However, a last minute free from Lismullen was tipped onto the bar and over to secure a draw which, in truth, was the fairest result. Kildalkey can be very pleased with their display and a second bite at the cherry.

The replay will be on Monday, 19th June at 4.00 with a venue to be confirmed.
