Sensory Room Upgrades 2024.
A BIG word of thanks to all our school and village community who raised much needed funds for our sensory room upgrades and the creation of classroom sensory spaces.
The classroom spaces have been crated with lovely lights, cushions, mats and fidgets.

Our sensory rooms have been upgraded with a trampoline, new ball pool balls, new lights,
bluetooth speakers, storage, fidgets and resources and a new bubble light seat area.
More equipment is due to arrive in September.
Thank you all for your generosity. It is transforming our school.
Peadar Lehane Hurling final
Hard luck to the hurlers from 3rd and 4th class who came out second best after a thrilling final against Kilmessan in the Peadar Lehane tournament.
The game was of the highest quality with the score taking and skill levels from both sides immaculate.
Down by 4 points at half time, a thunderous second half from Kildalkey brought the game to extra time with the boys very close to winning the game with Joe's late equaliser a couple of centimetres over the crossbar.
A goal in extra time for Kilmessan ultimately proved their undoing but the boys can hold their heads high after a superb showing.

Well done to all involved!

Dear Parents and Guardians,
We would like to take this opportunity to thank you all so very much for your generosity and support with our recent Sensory Fundraising and Autism Celebration Day.
Our school community raised a total of E4,094.00. This is an astounding sum of money and will allow us to transform the sensory spaces and develop and maintain our sensory areas well in to the future.
We would like to thank every parent, guardian, pupil, staff member and our parish community. To those who donated money and items, sold tickets, bought tickets and spread the word….it was amazing and your support is felt and appreciated here in our school.
To each and every person we say,
THANK YOU.

Basketball Matches
Hard luck to our two basketball teams who bowed out of the group stages after two hard fought games last Friday.
Our boys lost a very tight game to Kilcloon boys' team and went down by 4 points. The standard of basketball was exceptional and the boys can feel very proud of their efforts, particularly in the last quarter where they whittled an 8 point lead down to 2 with only a few seconds left.

The girls drew against Kilcloon 6-6 in what was another very tight game. Daisy got a brilliant basket with only a minute left to draw the game and get a well deserved point for Kildalkey.

We are very proud of their efforts - well done Kildalkey on the exceptionally high standard of basketball that was produced this year!!!
