3rd/4th Girls Football
The 3rd/4th class girls’ football team, (comprising of 31 girls!), have been training hard over the past few weeks and enjoyed a fantastic win over Boardsmill N.S. After a strong opening half from the girls, Boardsmill fought back, but our girls held their composure and secured a well-deserved victory! Maith sibh Cailiní!
They now look forward to their next match against Ballivor.

Shoebox Appeal 2025
Angie, our tireless secretary, once again turned the annual Concern Shoebox Appeal into a seamless, school‑wide celebration of generosity. With meticulous organization, she coordinated the collection, packing, and dispatch of the boxes, ensuring every detail—from the colour‑coded drop‑off points to the final tally—ran like clockwork.
Her infectious enthusiasm inspired the student body to bring in an unprecedented flood of donations, culminating in the largest shipment of shoeboxes the school has ever sent to those in need. Thanks to Angie’s leadership and the whole‑hearted support of our pupils, we not only met but shattered our previous records, sending 137 Shoeboxes and delivering hope and comfort to countless families around the world.
We are incredibly proud of Angie and the remarkable spirit she has sparked in our community. We are also very proud of our generous student body who donated so many shoeboxes to those in need.

Thank you all!
Our Captain Fantastic
Chloe McMahon, our unstoppable ANA and Ballivor football captain, turned a single triumph into a school‑wide celebration last week by marching through the corridors with a handful of proud teammates, the gleaming Junior Championship cup held high for every eye to see. She visited every class, sharing the story of the hard‑fought victory with contagious enthusiasm, and fielded a barrage of questions with the poise and humility of a true leader. Her energy, sportsmanship, and genuine willingness to inspire younger pupils have left the entire school buzzing with pride—we are incredibly proud of Chloe and the shining example she sets for us all.
Thank you to Chloe, manager Ian Kavanagh and all the players on the team who came into the school. Hopefully they can inspire more to take up football and continue the traditions that the girls from Kildalkey and Ballivor are setting.

Peadar Lehane win
Well done to the boys' Peadar Lehane team who had a great win against Boardsmill N.S. last week.
On what was a wet and cold day, their level of skill, sportsmanship and determination was exceptional as they beat a good Boardsmill team.
The best of luck to the team in their final match against Ballivor.

Mini 7s Hurling Champions 2025
Kildalkey N.S. Mini 7s Hurling team created a little bit of history by winning the Meath Mini 7s Hurling Competition for the third year in a row.
In a tough group with Baconstown, Cannistown and Kiltale, Kildalkey made light of the awful conditions with some superb performances. They came from behind to beat Baconstown by a solitary point, with Oisín's last second score proving to be the winner.
A tight struggle with Kiltale saw them edge Kiltale by a single point. This was notable for the horrific conditions the boys had to endure but they came up trumps by a single point. The last game saw them take on Cannistown and they saved their best performance for last with some superb scores throughout securing the win.

Well done to all the boys on a terrific achievement. Well done also to the brave band of supporters who braved the horrible conditions to cheers them on enthusiastically throughout! Patrick made a superb speech and after, it was back to Supermacs and warm up and replenish!
We are very proud of the boys and their achievements!
