Well done Daisy and Callie!!
Cross Country Fun
Well done to all our cross country competitors who took part in the Cumann na mBunscol Cross Country championships held in Fairyhouse.
The under 11s had a 800 metre trek whilst the under 13 competitors had a tough 1200 metres to traverse!
There were many schools present from all over Meath and the boys and girls did themselves proud with some splendid performances!
Whilst we didn't have any winners this year, all our competitors can feel very proud of their efforts.
BOM Parents' Nominee
The election for the parents' nominees was held last Friday, 17th November.
The votes for the mothers' nominee were counted publicly by the chairperson of the Parents' Association.
The person with the highest amount of votes for the mother's nominee was Claire Prout.
As there was only one nominee for the fathers' nominee, John Kenny, he was also deemed elected.
Thanks to all who put their names forward for election to the Board of Management.
Mini 7s Champions 2023
Well done to the Mini 7s hurling champions for 2023!!
The hurlers qualified for the finals two weeks ago, beating Kilmessan, Kilbride, Kilskyre and Rath Cairn on the way. They first played Dangan and prevailed after a tight battle. They picked up where they started from against Dunboyne and a fine performance put them into the final against Rathbeggan.
They then saved their best performance for last. Scores from Jack, Cillian, Lucas and Sam put them on their way. An excellent performance from goalkeeper Seán ensured they didn't concede any goals in the final and some stout defence from Harry, Jack and Jacob, along with some tenacious work from Brian and Rían ensured the boys from Kildalkey were not to be denied!!
Jack accepted the cup with some well chosen words. A word of thanks to referee John Byrne who said some lovely words about the team and the recently departed Nicky Potterton who would have been very proud of what was on view.
Lastly, after some refreshments in Supermacs, Sam was announced as the player to represent the school and Meath in Croke Park!
Well done to the team, the Mini 7s Champions for 2023!!
