December - Santa's visit and Advent Preparation

This Advent the children prepared for Christmas in a very special way with the help of Pauline. They tried to think of ways they could prepare for Christmas in school and at home and wrote their ideas on handprints. We all tried to make a special effort in thrid class to remember that Jesus was the reason for the Season.

Third class also got a surprise visit from Santa this month. Santa gave everyone a little treat and asked teacher to give the children the night off homework. Needless to say the children were very excited and thoroughly enjoyed the surprise visit.

For STEM week this month third class were challenged to use match sticks and clay to create 3-D structures. They enjoyed the challenge but unfortunately some structures fell apart before we took pictures. Here are some pictures of the ones that stayed standing.

November - 'Name in Lights' felt project

Third class worked very hard on their felt projects during Art this month. Over 3 art lessons they traced the letters of their names, cut them out and stuck each letter onto a light bulb. I think you'll agree that they look fantiastic.
