They looked at his history, his works of Art and then attempted to recreate his work.

Look at what they produced! Aren't they great!

Tour 2018

The sixth class recently enjoyed their tour into Dublin.

Beginning with the Natural History Museum, they learned lots about the different animals that roamed Ireland once upon a time and got the opportunity to see different animals up close.

They then travelled to Glasnevin where they visited the different graves of various Irish historical figures, such as Michael Collins, Daniel O'Connell, Charles Stewart Parnell etc. They learned of history along the way, thanks in no small part to the superb tour guide, Niall.

After, they travelled to Blanchardstown to partake in a spot of bowling. The games were competitive with some very high scores throughout, including a top score of 162.

Well done to the class on their behaviour throughout the day, which was exemplary.

World War Two Projects

The sixth class recently put together some terrific projects on World War Two.

Having covered the topic for the last few months, the class went into groups and came up with some terrific work, displaying terrific art pieces, models, ICT skills and PowerPoints along the way!

All the classes, both teachers and students, were very impressed with what they saw! Well done to the sixth on such great work!

Generous Sixth Class

The sixth class recently made a presentation to People Who Share Care group from Athboy.

Using their Confirmation money, the students came together in groups to buy items for the homeless. They gave nine overflowing bags, to be given to the homeless people currently on the streets of Dublin.

Amanda Geraghty from the People Who Share Care group was present to accept the bags on behalf of the group.

Well done to the sixth class who contributed very generously - they can be very proud of themselves!

Diary Cover

Next year's diary cover was decided upon recently.

The sixth class were asked to put forward their entries for the diary cover. After a lot of deliberating over all the diary covers, all of which were a very high standard, Caoimhe's entry was third, Sarah's was second but the winning entry was Grace's!

Diary 18

Well done Grace. Her art piece will adorn the covers of the diary entry next year!
